Jennifer Herdt is the Gilbert L. Stark Professor of Christian Ethics and Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Yale Divinity School. She is the author of Putting on Virtue: The Legacy of the Splendid Vices (Chicago, 2008), and Religion and Faction in Hume’s Moral Philosophy (Cambridge, 1997). She has written numerous articles on virtue ethics and character development and is currently finishing a book on ethical formation.
