In Political Orthodoxies: The Unorthodoxies of the Church Coerced, Cyril Hovorun, the Acting Director of the Huffington Ecumenical Institute at Loyola Marymount University, has offered an important examination of political and societal ideations that have distorted Orthodox theologies and have given rise to nationalism, antisemitism, and fundamentalism. It is an important and timely book.
